The association has a master policy but this does not cover anything inside of your unit. For example, in case of fire damage within a unit, that Unit Owner’s policy would be responsible for replacement of cabinets, floors, fixtures, and personal property, etc. A common misconception is that the master policy will cover your damages. Please make sure you have an Owner insurance policy in place. They are relatively inexpensive and can be extremely valuable in situations of crisis.
· This afternoon we received a report of 3 suspicious men in the garage near the bicycle cage and it appears that they might have had some success in taking at least one bicycle. After the last report of theft about a month ago, we took action and secured the cage to the wall but it looks like they have found other ways to enter. Unfortunately, numerous properties in the Arlington/Ballston/Clarendon area are experiencing a rise in bicycle thefts. We recommend removing your bicycles from the bike cage until we can research a few alternative ideas to better secure the bicycle cage.
All residents are encouraged to report suspicious persons/activity in the garage or other areas of our building. Thank you.
· Save the Date! Our Social Committee is hard at work planning a wonderful holiday party for our residents. Please save the evening of Thursday, December 9th from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. More details to follow as the party date approaches!
· Sprinkler heads are very sensitive and must be replaced if any traces of paint are found on them. It is very expensive to replace them so please remind your contractors to use special care when painting around sprinkler heads.
· The “Meet the Candidates” event is scheduled for Monday, November 8th at 7:00 p.m. in the Club Room. Please join us to meet the 5 Candidates that are seeking election to the Board of Directors.
